Seehotel Ambach

We stayed for 4 days in late October and found the hotel lovely in a 1960s modern vibe. The chef was 5 stars and the food both lunch and dinner were of a higher caliber hotel. A big surprise and we will surely go back next year. The hikes were very convenient to the hotel. Next time we will visit Elena Walch winery in Tremin on the other side of this serene lack. A truly special, serene place. The location, surrounded by vineyards and apple plantations, is hard to beat, far from major traffic (however still within a 15 min walk from the bus stop which connects Kalterer See with the surrounding villages). The views are just as amazing as the well-preserved 1970s architecture and the huge park which makes for great tranquility while still offering space for families with kids. Also, the design of the new bath/spa house does not disappoint. The warm lake is easily accessible and water sports accessories are free for all hotel guests. The food served for dinner on the lake-side terrace is of Michelin-worthy quality and the staff is friendly and efficient. This kind of place is very rare and can be recommended whole-heartedly.

The hotel services were out of expectation. It was located in the quiet area by the lake surrounded by grape trees. The breakfast with many choices. The 5 courses dinner is every night different with one course or buffet which ends up many food at the end. You can even book yoga class right in front of the lake. Our friend told us that in all designer magazines you can see this hotel. Pros: - good location to the lake - SUP , yoga class, boats and kayaking facility is provided for free - food is good quality - room is clean and tidy - well organized and experience hotel Mgmt - nice friendly staff - not much wait for the 5 courses - furnitures and Lightnings are from designers - big field for you to chill and relax - 360 degree windows spa room, super comfy and clean Cons: - missing shampoo and conditional but still ok - the room is a bit small but they have living room so that you don’t have to be in the room - the WiFi is either very weak or not working For sure I will come back again. ☺️

Alpine gem! right up in the water of kaltern lake- location location baby - the architectural structure is a masterpiece 1960 in this idyllic location- service- quality - - prices are pretty much upper level - highly recommended this hotel restaurant at anytime .
